I am originally from Alabama, however raised in a military family provided me with the unique and wonderful opportunity to live in several different states as well as overseas, 6 of those years in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I learned to fluently speak Spanish. After college, I joined the US Air Force in the engineering field and was stationed in Anchorage Alaska where I was first introduced to the oil and gas industry on a small scale. I moved to Lafayette Louisiana in 2001, and immediately fell in love with the people and the culture of a city that was heavily connected to oil and gas and the service companies that supported the industry.
My entry into oil and gas was as a sales executive for a coiled tubing company in Lafayette, which eventually moved me to Houston. Like the city of Lafayette itself, I fell in love with the people and the culture of the industry, developing life long relationships along the way and an appreciation of an industry that sticks together during the tough times and shares in the joy of the good. In my last 10 years, along with coiled tubing sales, i have sold inspection services, as well as offshore boat services. Currently i do corporate sales for KSW Oilfield Rentals providing solids control equipment and services for onshore drilling in West Texas. I am one of the original 5 women, who started the Belles in 2010.
My passion has always strongly leaned towards the creative, and for the first several years I served as Marketing Director before I held the Vice Presidents position for the last two years. Currently I am part of the Executive Board. Being raised in a military family instilled in me an appreciation for the sacrifices for those that serve, selflessly, without hesitation, and often without notice.
There is more satisfaction out of making a difference in someone else’s life, someone that has served a bigger purpose, and sacrificed their own family life and personal life, so that we can safely and freely have the personal and family lives they can’t. I feel so deeply connected to their service before self mentality, not only because I grew up in the military, but also because I served. They are the first to show up, and the last to leave, and are often forgotten about once their time is up, yet their scars remain. It is an honor to be able to repay them, and show them how much of a national treasure they really are, and that we won’t forget. I am obsessed with sports!! Especially Auburn football. Up until I joined the Air Force, I wanted to be a sports broadcaster, even going as far as auditioning and being accepted into the broadcasting and communications division of the military. I still would rather watch sports or go to a game, any game at any level!!
